What is a fuel card?

A fuel card is a card-based payment method that removes the need for credit cards, cash payments, and reimbursements to the driver.

When a driver fills up, they simply swipe their fuel card and the cost of the shop is charged to your business account. Fuel cards can also be used to pay for oil, shop expenses and car washes at the discretion of the fleet owner or manager.

Every purchase is recorded and itemised in a single monthly invoice, reducing administration and improving business efficiency.

How does a fuel card work?

A Fleetcare Fuel Card allows a driver to fill up at BP, Shell, Caltex/Ampol, Coles and Woolworths fuel stations nationwide. Instead of paying with cash or credit/debit cards, the driver simply presents their Fleetcare Fuel Card to the cashier. The company is then billed directly as part of their monthly invoice where all transactions are itemised by vehicle.

What is the difference between Fleetcare's Fuel Cards solution and Fuel Plus solution?

Both fuel solutions offer the same great inclusions like discounted fuel, consolidated billing, reporting and e-TAG Management. However, Fuel Plus comes with the addition of 24/7 Roadside Assistance.

Whenever you need help with breakdowns, flat tyre, emergency fuel, key replacement, repairs, a crash or even advice about your vehicle such as tyre pressure, we can help.

How much do fuel cards cost?

We charge zero fees for the physical fuel card and offer a range of product options with discount structures depending on how many business vehicles you have. Just get in touch and we’ll advise a cost and discount structure to suit your fleet.

Where can I use my fuel card?

A Fleetcare Fuel Card can be used at BP, Shell, Caltex/Ampol, Coles and Woolworths fuel stations Australia-wide.

How can I report a lost, stolen or damaged fuel card?

Contact Fleetcare immediately on 134 333 if your fuel card is lost or stolen. Until a missing fuel card is reported, all transactions billed against them are your responsibility.

How can I apply for a fuel card?

Simply complete a form on the Fleetcare website, call 134 333 or email info@fleetcare.com.au. One of our team will get in touch with you and send through a credit application. Fuel card eligibility is done on a case by case basis, and once your credit has been approved, your fuel card application will be finalised and your fuel cards will be sent out to you.

Can I use the BP Plus payment app if I have a Fleetcare Fuel Card?

Yes, Fleetcare BP Fuel Cards can be used with the BP Plus fuel payment app by BP. BP Plus makes filling up faster, easier and contactless, allowing drivers to pay for fuel from the comfort and distance of their vehicles.

Are fuel cards included in my novated lease?

Yes, fuel cards are included in your Fleetcare Novated Lease giving you access to BP, Caltex/Ampol, Shell, Coles and Woolworths service stations nationwide. Plus, you’ll also enjoy half price car washes at BP service stations.
