Transfer Lease FAQs

Do I have to complete a credit application?

No, with a lease transfer, also known as a lease re-novation, your existing finance arrangement (such as with Macquarie Leasing) will stay in place. We simply manage the lease on your behalf.

What happens to my fuel card(s) when I transfer my lease?

Your fuel card(s) from your existing lease provider will need to be returned and new fuel cards from Fleetcare will be dispatched as a priority. As a Fleetcare Novated Lease customer, we'll provide you with fuel cards to major fuel suppliers BP, Caltex, and Shell which can be used nationwide.

If my car is due for a service, where do I get this done?

With a team of dedicated maintenance controllers working on your behalf, you can rest easy knowing that you'll never pay too much for a service or repairs. You can choose from thousands of approved repairers including tyres, windscreens and batteries.

Who will manage my vehicle insurance?

If you currently source your own insurance, you can continue to do so and we'll include this in the budgeting so you can be reimbursed.

If insurance is currently included in your existing novated lease agreement, Fleetcare will manage this on your behalf. Our comprehensive insurance product is specifically tailored to leased vehicles. Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) is included as standard ensuring you're never out of pocket in the event of a total loss. We also offer other protection options like extended warranty and Lease Protection Insurance (LPI) which will cover your lease payments if you are unable to work due to illness or redundancy.

I would like Fleetcare to manage my novated lease, but my employer is not registered with Fleetcare.

Just like how you can choose your superannuation provider, we believe in novated choice. An employee should be given the opportunity to partner with whom they feel connected to.

Our novated consultants would be happy to discuss with your employer about registering with Fleetcare on your behalf.

My current lease is coming to an end. Can I lease a new vehicle?

Yes, of course you can! If your lease is coming to an end during the transition phase, we'll discuss your options with you.

Our consultants will then work with you to source the vehicle of your choice, and design a lease tailored to your circumstances. You'll enjoy exclusive vehicle offers combined with fleet discounts on the purchase price of your new car.
