Supporting our Victoria customers during the Circuit Breaker lockdown period

12/02/2021 by Lania Mason in Fleetcare news

Premier, Daniel Andrews, has confirmed the whole of Victoria will enter into stage-four restrictions for a five-day snap lockdown from 11.59pm tonight until next Wednesday.

Victorians will only be allowed to leave their homes for four reasons: shopping for essentials, giving care, essential work and education, and exercise for two hours per day with household members.

At Fleetcare, we are committed to ensuring our customers and staff are kept safe and well informed. As this COVID-19 situation evolves, we will ensure that we continue to support our stakeholders and endeavour to meet our customer’s motoring needs in these unique times.

Our Perth operations centre will continue to operate as normal. Our Perth team emerged from its lockdown and working from home, ensuring continuity of customer services.

Our Victorian based team will work from home under COVID-19 safe practises.

The circuit breaker lockdown will have the following impact on car sales and servicing in the State of Victoria:

New car dealerships

Physical yards will be closed but some dealerships will be available for conducting business for quoting. Contact will be through phone, email and website. Dealerships will be operating under their individual COVID Safe plans but generally:

  • If a delivery of a car was planned this week, new arrangements may apply
  • Test drives will be rearranged
  • Quoting and securing a vehicle will continue as will pricing a used car you have for sale

Servicing, parts, tyres and battery departments

Vehicle services should be limited for essential vehicle safety and servicing needs only.

Dealership service departments and tyre and battery distributors will have capacity to undertake this safety work.

Check before travelling if you have an appointment and to confirm or modify arrangements. You should also consider mobile servicing and tyre replacement options.

Transport

Our transport companies are operating in a COVID-19 safe way. They will call to confirm collection however there may be some disruption in collecting from dealerships who maybe operating on skeleton staff.

Our thoughts are with you and your families during this time and we hope you are safe and well. If you have any questions regarding the above or require support during this time, please do not hesitate to contact Fleetcare on 134 333.
