Frequent Refills - Fleet Alert

Frequent-Refills

If some of the vehicles in your fleet were recently refuelled more than once within a day, you may receive an exception report. The report outlines how many vehicles were refuelled more than once in a day, how much tank capacity was utilised when refuelling and how much fuel was utilised before refilling.

Since each fuel refill can incur a transaction fee, filling your vehicle to full capacity and only refuelling when necessary is an opportunity for you to save.

Some possible reasons why your vehicle was refuelled more than once within a day are

  • The driver is not filling the vehicle to full capacity.
  • The driver used a full tank of fuel

Actions to take

  • Identify and contact the drivers who aren’t utilising full tank capacity when refuelling or who aren’t waiting until a sufficient percentage of fuel has been consumed before refuelling
  • Educate the drivers to always refuel a tank to full and avoid refuelling until the fuel tank is close to empty
  • Read this article about how to get the most out of your fuel cards
