3/09/2010

Back in March, Fleettorque highlighted the importance of Clean Up Australia Day and this month sees Clean Up The World Weekend - so it’s time to get outside and help make your neighbourhood a prettier place to live…

Clean up teh World WeekendOn the weekend of 17-19 of September around 35 million volunteers in 120 countries will be doing their bit to make the planet a cleaner place. Clean Up the World Weekend is a huge community event aimed at raising environmental awareness and helping to make a real difference.

From recycling bottles and planting trees, to water and energy conservation projects, there are initiatives happening everywhere and getting involved is easy. Communities can arrange their own activities, such as clean-up events, or organise environmental awareness raising activities. Groups, organisations, businesses and communities around the world unite and take action at a local level to address the global issue of climate change.
