Tesla Model S – The game changer

Both a motor and a technology company, Tesla is set to make a big impression in the Australian automotive industry. Co-founded by Elon Musk, Martin Eberhard, Marc Tarpenning, JB Straubel and Ian Wright, Tesla is here to change the way Australians think of electric cars and push forward the future dynamics of the automotive industry.

A bit about Tesla

Tesla Motors entered into the electric automotive industry in 2006. Its first vehicle – a Roadster, was an all-electric modification to the Lotus Elise sports car released in the US in 2008. A few of these vehicles made it into the Australian market however it never really took off down under.

Welcome to the future 2014! Tesla has launched into the Australian market with a bang delivering a number of the Signature edition Model S sedans. The Tesla S has been welcomed by Australian consumers with people lining up to get their hands on this cutting edge vehicle.

The Model S is the sole focus for Tesla at the moment in Australia and people in the automotive industry are excited to see how this newcomer in the Australian market will perform.
