Top five Motorsport Events in Australia for 2015
As we draw closer to the end of January, a lot of keen motorsport fans are now starting to look forward to the numerous events which are coming up this year. Here we round up our top five motorsport events in Australia for 2015.
The V8 Supercars Championship is one of the biggest if not the biggest motorsport event for Australia. In 2015 there will be 14 Championship events. The V8 Supercars Championship event races happen in all states of Australia and this year new broadcast partners FOX Sports and Channel Ten will show all races live and ad-free.
2013 was the first year for the Car of the Future, now known as ‘new generation’ V8 Supercars. These cars are lighter, more economical, have increased agility and are highly competitive.
The V8 Supercars 2015 series promises to deliver exhilarating and accessible motorsports-led entertainment to passionate motorsport fans nationwide.
Quit Forest Rally
A spectator and competitor favourite, the Quit Forest Rally Championship is the second round of the six-round Australian Rally Championship and is based in one of Western Australia’s top destinations.
The Quit Forest Championship attracts Australia's best cars and drivers, including some of the best Aussie classic cars. Over 200 cars and bikes are expected to compete in the event this year. For more information click here.
The legendary Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 is the pinnacle V8 Supercars event and sees thousands of race fans making their way to Mount Panorama each year. Known for its record breaking action, Bathurst 2015 is sure to be a highlight of this year’s V8 Supercars series. The four day motorsport event will see a packed schedule of V8 Supercars and support category action on track, first class facilities and awesome entertainment.
Formula 1 Grand Prix
The 2015 Formula 1 Grand Prix will boast more entertainment and racing action than ever before. Each action-packed day will be dedicated to an exciting and different aspect of the event, so there will be something new for every fan for every day of Australia’s biggest motorsport event of the year. Held in the infamous Phillip Island, the self-styled home of Australian motorsport, the 2015 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix is one not to be missed.

The first motorcycle races took place here in 1931 and a permanent track was built in 1956. The circuit fell into disrepair during the late 70s and early 80s until it was bought in 1985 and given a $5m facelift.
MotoGP returned in 1989 and 1990 before becoming a regular fixture once more from 1997 onwards.
The Phillip Island circuit is blessed with breathtaking scenery and beautiful ocean views and, as one of the fastest, most fluid tracks. Phillip Island continues to provide some of the most spectacular racing in the MotoGP season.
