Fleetcare - Our Name... Our Task... Our Passion

Fleetcare and CIPSA

CIPSALast year saw a positive strategic partnership blossom between Fleetcare and the Charted Institute of Purchasing and Supply Australasia (CIPSA). Following on from 2010, Fleetcare looked to strengthen this relationship with CIPSA by returning to sponsor several events this year.

Please see below for a full list of events we attend and sponsored in 2011.

The 7th Annual CIPSA Conference

The 7th Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPSA) Conference was held in Melbourne (12th & 13th of October) at the Crown Conference Centre.

Fleetcare was proud to be a Gold Sponsor of this event.

The key theme of the 7th Annual Conference was 'Risky Business' and it was an exciting two days filled with high quality content and seminars.

Below are some pictures of our Gold Sponsorship area - the Fleetcare Games Lounge, at this years conference. You can read more about our time at the conference here.

Special Category Forum: Fleet and Fuel

A new addition to the CIPSA Conferences schedule of 2011, the Special Category Forums provided category managers with the opportunity to learn new strategies to more effectively manage their category and obtain pertinent market intelligence.

Category managers were also given the opportunity to engage in discussion with their peers as well as network with suppliers in an informal environment.

Fleetcare was a proud Platinum Sponsor of this event.

The CIPSA Strategic Procurement Forum

Held on the 16th August at The Stamford Plaza Adelaide and the 18th of August at the Novotel Langley Perth, this forum addressed a broad range of key issues facing the procurement profession as identified by the CIPSA Steering Group, the CIPSA Regional Committees and research conducted directly by CIPSA Conferences.

This event also provided the opportunity to learn from expert speakers as well from other successful organizations through a series of facilitated round-table sessions. In addition, this event also featured outstanding networking opportunities to assist CPOs to build new relationship with their peers or cement existing ones.

Nigel Malcolm spoke on "A suppliers perspective on procurement professionals " at these events and received some great feedback from the audience:

  • Very relevant info delivered in engaging manner
  • Very interesting topic & difficult perspective to get. Great energy, well presented, short, sharp & to the point
  • Engaging, valuable insights from the other side of the desk
  • High energy, smart, good advice, a pleasure to listen to

This event was held in two locations on two different days. The first event took place on the 16th of March at the Sebel & Citigate Hotel in Melbourne. The next event took place the following day at L’Aqua Rooms in Sydney.

The Supplier Management Forum focused on the key issues surrounding Supplier Relationship Management, Contract Management, and Supplier Performance Management; examining how the best are managing the post-contract phase and driving value from their relationships with their suppliers.

Our CEO, Nigel Malcolm, was a speaker at both events and his presentation was based on the following topic -

THE SUPPLIERS VIEW:
How buyers could manage relationships better

  • Common mistakes by real buyers
  • Defining and using common goals
  • Building trust in the BUY – SELL relationship

Nigel's presentations were extremely successful and received full marks from those who attended.
